26 Shirts Fundraiser to Benefit Canandaigua Teen and Family
Rochester, NY – April 4, 2022: Dylan Smith, a sophomore at Canandaigua Academy, has been chosen as the recipient of a 26 SHIRTS fundraising campaign. Dylan was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma in October of 2021 and is currently going through a series of chemo and radiation treatments at Golisano Children’s Hospital. 26 SHIRTS is a social good company that designs and sells limited edition Buffalo-themed tee shirts and releases a new shirt every week to support a different charity, family or individual in need.
Dylan’s shirt is called “Nowhere to Hyde” and features an artist’s version of his favorite Buffalo Bills player –safety Micah Hyde intercepting a pass against the Patriots in the playoffs and will be available for sale from April 4 – April 17 on 26shirts.com. Del Reid, created 26 SHIRTS in 2013 and is also a co-founder of the now infamous Bills Mafia fan group. “We are so happy that we could support Dylan and his family through their challenging time,” Reid said. “We have had many Rochester area recipients and are so happy to be continuing these efforts with Dylan,” he added.
Micah Hyde, who was involved in the design said – “I’m thrilled to be a part of this 26 Shirts campaign and I’m excited to lend what I can to support Dylan in his time of need.” The 26 SHIRTS connection was originally made when local attorney Kevin Clark from Clark Peshkin, heard about Dylan’s story from Dylan’s Uncle, Mark Ippolito of Comedy at the Carlson, who is also hosting a Charity Event at the Club on April 10th. “The generosity of people in our area never ceases to amaze me,” Ippolito commented. “Whether through giving, creative ideas or their connections, the support of our community is overwhelming,” he added. 26 SHIRTS has raised over $1.3 million for different causes and individuals since its inception in 2013.
